A professional development opportunity for WA Principals and Senior Leaders to meet, up skill, network and be refreshed.

This in person event is a professional development opportunity for West Australian Principals and senior leaders to meet, up skill, network and be refreshed

  • Be encouraged by Navy Chaplain, Brad Galvin, to follow God's call,
  • Work with Laurelle Coto, WA Executive Officer to consider how we work to create and strengthen culture in our schools, and
  • Participate in a workshop with Brad Raynor on increase teacher efficacy & retention while increasing student belonging, engagement through “bottom up” whole school pedagogical and behavioural development.
  • Consider your own self care with Psychologist and lecturer Mandie Shean - wellbeing isn't just one event, it is a lifestyle. 

We invite all Principals, SALT members and senior leaders to join us for the day.

Speakers

Your Host, Laurelle Coto

Laurelle has over 25 years of experience in Christian education, including senior leadership positions as Principal and Head of School for both Primary and Secondary. She is a dynamic and visionary educational leader with a proven track record in leading schools through significant growth and development. Laurelle is passionate about the links between strategic planning, change management, cultivating positive school cultures and prioritising the well-being of both students and staff. Her expertise in innovative school design and the creation of engaging learning environments supports member schools in leveraging the latest educational, evidence-based research and technologies to foster academic excellence and holistic development for all students. Currently, Laurelle also serves on the Board of Adult and Teen Challenge.

Brad Galvin

Brad is an ordained Anglican Minister, he currently serves as a chaplain in the Royal Australian Navy. He has previously served God as a church based minister, a Missionary at a Theological training College in Tanzania, a School Chaplain in a large K-12 school in Perth and is about to return to deployment off shore. He currently lives in Perth with his wife, who is a teacher at a Christian School and his 5 children.

Brad Raynor

Brad is an highly experienced principal, coach, mentor who specialises in whole school supporting leaders to undertake collective whole school pedagogical and behavioural engagement development. He is a proven specialist in creating whole school culture of engagement & belonging where teacher want to remain, and students choose to engage. He and his specialist team from BNR Leadership are working with Christian Schools to build “bottom up” whole school pedagogical and behaviour management approaches that are supported by whole school engagement and in house training and coaching for sustainability.

Mandie Shean

Mandie is the psychologist at Lake Joondalup Baptist College, and an adjunct lecturer and researcher at Edith Cowan University. She has a strong demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry, and is skilled in E-Learning, Customer Service, Lesson Planning, and Instructional Design. Mandie enjoys helping others understand and implement a lifestyle that encourages self care and wellbeing.
